Each September Orofino celebrates Lewis and Clark Days with a living-history encampment, canoe races on Dworshak Reservoir, and a parade. Historical reenactors demonstrate period skills including flintlock rifle firing, hide tanning, and birch-bark canoe building in a family-friendly festival atmosphere.
